A new song is born! Very happy and proud to share it with you! First ideas for this song came up long ago, around 2010. That was just the repeating acoustic guitar pattern that you can hear throughout the song. For a decade I occasionally picked up my guitar and started playing this tune. In those moments I often wondered: how can I make this into a song? What lyrics match this guitarpart? And through improvisation, a bit of jamming with myself, those first lines came put: the pain, the pain, here we go again. That was around 2020. And so  the title and subject matter of the song became: The Pain, because the repeating guitar pattern reminded me of the repeating pattern of inner pain. You think you have left all of that behind you, you think it's all in the past, and then it hits you again. Although it was a track with little structure, with no clear distinctions between verses and choruses, I always loved the vibe of it, just in that way. So I stuck with that and finally decided to dive in and go for a full recording. And this is what came out at the other end of that effort, which I couldn't have done on my own. Many thanks for the talented musicians (violin, electrical guitar, backing vocals, synths, piano) at the Sundown Studio's. And many thanks to Yaelan Spoelder, producer, for his sharp ears  that contributed to an excellent endmix,  turning an intricate musical arrangement into a broad and well balanced sound. Enjoy the listening experience!
